How quickly can I get a moving estimate from Home To Home Relocations?

You can receive a preliminary estimate the same day you contact us. For international and cross-border moves, we provide a detailed quotation after a virtual or in-home assessment to ensure accurate volume calculations, packing needs, transit options, and destination-specific requirements.

Do you offer virtual surveys for quotes?

Yes. Our specialists provide video surveys which are faster, more accurate, and recommended for international and long-distance moves. Videos help us assess packing requirements, fragile items, stair access, elevator restrictions, and volume—without needing an in-person visit.

What information should I prepare before contacting you?

For the most accurate guidance, have the following ready: Destination country or U.S. state, expected move date, approximate volume, residence type, high-value or fragile items, and whether you require packing, storage, or crating. This allows us to recommend the right shipping method including FCL, LCL, airfreight, groupage, and cross-border truckload services.

How soon should I contact you before my moving date?

For overseas moves: 8–12 weeks. For cross-border USA moves: 4–6 weeks. For local GTA moves: 2–3 weeks. Earlier booking ensures better pricing, guaranteed space, and smoother coordination with freight carriers.

Do you provide guidance on documents for international or U.S. customs?

Yes. While brokers handle final customs clearance, we guide you through all required documents including inventory lists, passport or visa copies, proof of residence, bills of lading, carrier bookings, exemptions, and high-value declarations to avoid delays.

Can I speak directly with the team handling my move?

Absolutely. Every client receives one dedicated Relocation Specialist throughout the entire process—from consultation to delivery.

Do you offer weekend or after-hours support?

Yes. After-hours support line: 1-647-361-3337. Urgent requests for international and cross-border shipments are prioritized.

Do you offer packing or storage if my move date changes?

Yes. We can arrange short-term or long-term storage, delayed delivery coordination, emergency storage, and export packing with ISPM-15 certified crates in bonded facilities.

Can I track my shipment after contacting you?

Yes. Once your shipment is booked, you receive access to our online tracking system for real-time updates.

Do you handle both personal and corporate relocations?

Yes. We manage household goods, vehicle relocations, employee mobility programs, commercial shipments, and international freight forwarding.

What factors influence the cost of an international move?

Pricing is based on volume, packing requirements, destination country, customs rules, and transport method. We provide transparent estimates with no hidden fees.

What items are prohibited or restricted in international shipping?

Most countries restrict items such as flammable goods, perishables, plants, chemicals, and firearms. Regulations vary by destination, and we provide guidance to avoid delays or penalties.

Do you offer insurance protection for my shipment?

Yes. We provide full-value protection and basic liability options for domestic, cross-border, and international moves for added peace of mind.

How long will my shipment take?

Sea freight typically takes 4–12 weeks depending on destination; airfreight is much faster and often ranges from 3–10 days.

Can you move partial shipments or small loads?

Yes — we offer LCL, Groupage, and airfreight options for small shipments, ensuring cost-effective solutions for limited cargo volumes.

What areas do you serve in Ontario for International Moves?

We serve Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area including Mississauga, Brampton, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Scarborough, North York, and Etobicoke, along with all of Ontario for international moves.

Do you handle cross-border Canada → USA?

Yes — we provide door-to-door moving between Canada and the United States with full customs coordination and documentation support.

What is included in your quote?

Our standard quote includes packing, export/import documentation, freight, customs clearance, and delivery unless specified otherwise. Insurance is optional and quoted separately.
